Spiritual traditions have long recognized Wisdom as feminine. She is called by different names: Sophia, Shekinah, Tara, the Tao itself. She is the feminine face of God and can be found in Kwan Yin, Gaia, Isis, Inanna, Lakshmi, Mary, Aphrodite, and Pachamama, to name a few... In native religions, the earth is deeply feminine and holds the wisdom of creation.
Such wisdom is not analytical or comprehensible by the mind. It has nothing to do with the wondrous machine called the brain. Rather, Wisdom is the knowing beyond knowing. She is the heart of creation. She is nurturing and she is fierce.
In this four week session of Tapping Into the Feminine, Connecting to Source, we will explore:
-
The nurturing nature of Wisdom that allows us to explore the yearnings of the heart without fear of either its joys or sorrows.
-
The warrior nature of Wisdom, whose fierce protection allows us to travel into the heart and live a vulnerable life.
It is in Wisdom's embrace that we dance, we celebrate, we fall in love with life! |
"The warriors tame the beasts in their pasts so that the knights's hooves
can no longer break the jeweled vision in the heart."
~ Haifiz, 14th Century Persian Mystic |

"Emily meets you right where you are in your human/creative process. She sees in you what you might ignore. Emily introduces, or re-introduces, you to your creative side. And she shows you how to nurture, honor, and respect it — as well as yourself."
~ Audrey Gula
"Tapping Into the Feminine, Connecting to Source was a challenging workshop - challenging in the sense that it made me re-evaluate how we define words that we use to describe women, feminine and the roles we play - and how I define and apply those perceptions and words to myself and my roles in life."
~ Carolyn Rowland
"The workshop on Tapping in the Feminine was magnificent! I am joining the next one!
