In my daily life, I treasure certain objects that nourish my creative spirit. Some are precious, some humble. But all speak to me in a special way. I’m always so happy when I discover a new one and bring it into my life. So I thought that one or another might also be meaningful to you, my visitors to Creative Soul Works. I call this area of my site “The Divine Imagination” because for humans to create, from their imaginations, objects of beauty and meaning, embodies the divinity of our daily life on earth.
You’ll find five aisles in this shop:
Labyrinths ~ The labyrinth symbolizes the journey to our own center, and the return back into the outside world. So long as we stay on the journey, we shall not get lost … indeed, we shall be found!
Jewelry ~ As a woman, I find that certain jewelry, whether simple or elaborate, reminds me of my own beauty, creativity and uniqueness, which all too often I forget. Pieces of my own remind me of times in my memory that are sacred to me, or of places I have visited in reality or in my mind’s eye. I hope you will find joy in wearing one or another of these pieces, and acquire memories with which to enhance it.
Inspirations from the East ~ These may be statues for an altar, or occupants of the workspace where we create. They remind us to be compassionate toward ourselves on our creative journey, to walk with spirit, and to honor the sacredness of our creativity.
Accessories ~ Should not our home be filled with beauty, should not we drape ourselves with beauty? My current offering includes shawls and pashminas, which are wonderful wraps for meditation … gentle, warm coverings for us while we write, read or cuddle ourselves; and scarves, with which we may express a creative flair as we step into the world!
Journals ~ Hand-made paper, thoughts that speak to our souls, elegant designs – a unique journal is so appropriate a place to express our inner journeys.
This collection will change as I find new sources … or as, in my meanderings, they find me. Some will be one of a kind; others will be designed and made by an artisan in small quantities; all will be conceived and produced with thoughtfulness and beauty by people who find fulfillment in their creations.
I take pleasure and pride in sharing with you these objects, like those that I find so meaningful in my own creative life.
