We will be staying at the Centro Culturale Don Orione in the heart of Venice

The post-retreat adventure is always a lot of fun... we will have been on an exciting creative journey for ten days at Il Grande Prato and will know each other well... in some ways, better than even our family does! All this makes our post retreat trips very special and memorable. There is much connection, laughter, eating and adventure on our post-retreat trips. It is also a great way to approach re-entry to the outer world!

The Circle Continues....

On our last post-retreat trip in London several years ago, we found although we enjoyed sight-seeing and simply being tourists, there was a profound sense of separation from and longing our "circle time." And so, this year, I have built "circle time" into our days in Venice. Of course, each day, you will be free to attend these sessions or not, as you wish.

We will be staying at the Centro Culturale Don Orione in the heart of Venice. Pictured in the painting above, this newly renovated cloister is attached to the beautiful church of Gesuati, built at the end of the 15th century. This is a perfect place for us to transition from the inner world journey at Il Grande Prato to glorious Venice!

The Centro Culturale Don Orione has received excellent reviews from travelers at www.TripAdvisor.com. A hearty breakfast is included.

Venetian Canal

The fee includes:

  • Four nights at the Centro Culturale Don Orione.

  • Transportation from Il Grande Prato to Venice and then the return to Venice airport. (Please note, if you are coming on the post-retreat trip, arrange to fly home from San Marco, the Venice airport.)

  • A three day vaporetto (water bus) pass. (I've found that the trips on the vaporetto are as much fun as anything else in Venice!)

  • Three creativity circles.
  • A daily guided itinerary. You are free to join the group's activities, or you may plan your own excursions each day.

  • Dangerous Mask in the Doge Palace! A half-day guided tour of Venice

  • Entry fees at selected tourist attractions. This is what I am thinking now, but as I explore other Venice attractions, I might substitute for one or more of the following:

    • Doges Palace & Secret Itinerary. I have done this and it is a lot of fun!

    • The Accademia Galleries, home to some of the finest Venetian Art.

    • Tour of the Venice Theater, behind the scenes!

Double room, private bath $1695
Private room: $2295

***Italy is very expensive, and Venice is the most expensive city in Italy to visit. In addition, the exchange rate with the Euro is at an all-time high. I am doing my best to make this an affordable and exciting adventure. However, if the exchange rate continues to rise, I will have to add a surcharge which, regardless of how high the Euro rises, I will keep below $150. ***
