About Emily Hanlon:
I have been guiding people on the creative journey for thirty years as a writing and creativity coach. I offer private sessions on the phone or in person, as well as workshops, teleworkshops and weekend residenti al workshops. I have been leading retreats in the US, Italy and England for ten years and am the author of seven books of fiction, including Petersburg,
(Putnams) which was translated into several languages and reached the best sellers
list in England. My book, The Art of Fiction Writing, is based
on my thirty years of teaching. Most recently, I have an article in the December issue of Writer's Digest on Falling Down the Rabbit Hole into the creative unconscious.
My websites are Creative Soul Works and The Fiction Writer's Journey. Through Creative Soul Works, I offer two unique mentoring programs based on my belief that the multifaceted journey of creativity is not limited to the arts, but nurtures life at the most profound depths, those of the soul journey. These programs, the source of this year's retreat, have been developed over a lifelong pursuit of creativity in both my professional and personal life. I have done extensive work in personal transformation, and have worked with spiritual and shamanic mentors and healers in the US, England and Peru. My work as a writing coach is explored in The Fiction Writer's Journey.
Pre-requisites for Joining the
Retreat
The retreat is a journey into both the
light and the shadows of creativity and the Feminine, which is the core of Self. It is a passionate and challenging journey supported by myself and all of the women
who attend; but as I am the leader on the retreat, it is important that you know and trust
me to guide you. It is important that you have a
sense of how I work and that you resonate with my approach.
It is equally important for me to know you.
Therefore,
the prerequisite for this retreat is that everyone who attends has done work with me either in private coaching sessions or workshops offered through Creative Soul Works or The Fiction Writer's Journey. In addition, explore my calendar of events. |
