Women and Creativity, a Retreat

This year the retreat returns to Il Grande Prato, a restored farmhouse in the Chianti area between Florence, Siena, San Gimignano and the Etruscan sites. All around you can see the extraordinary landscape of the Tuscan hills, with cypress trees, olive groves, vineyards and cultivated fields. We are welcomed by Giulia Perticucci and lovingly cared for by her family and staff.

Fueling our creative fire is truly fantastic food served three times a day with attention to individual preferences. There is something to delight every palate. Regional cheeses, meats, fish, fresh fruits and vegetables, wine, olive oils and pasta cooked to al dente perfection. Local wine is served at lunch and dinner; there is a swimming pool and, courtesy of Giulia, we will again have cooking lessons as well as a guide on one of our two days in Florence. In addition, Il Grande Prato has a lovely new library and reading room (see the next page), a gym and a hot tub!

This is the perfect setting for a gathering of women passionate about their creativity. With every need tended to, we will journey to embrace with love that Self for which our heart yearns.

This retreat is open to anyone on the creative journey.

Yoga indoors and out at Il Grande Prato

From Valerie: "Yoga practice is a way of grounding your dreams into reality. When the physical body is out of balance, the energy becomes stuck or sluggish resulting in a weakening of our dreams. As you delve deeper into the creative aspect of the feminine, realigning the physical body allows a free flow of this creative energy.

Focusing on the chakras (energy centers) through posture, breath work, meditation and chanting will bring healing to the body on all levels.

I have been teaching yoga as a holistic practice for 17 years in the Caribbean; I am now based in the UK. No experience of yoga is necessary; planks and pretzels are all welcome!"
